Crain’s Business names Piccolo among top 2 alfresco dining spots

Thanks Crain’s Business for the great review. Read it HERE.

Great  article from about our new venture:

Pretty soon, River North businessmen, revelers and travelers will have a coffee and pastry option from one of the most respected Italian chefs in Chicago. Chef Tony Priolo and his team have taken over theCrumbs Bake Shop next to Piccolo Sogno Due and are planning to open Piccoletto, as in little Piccolo Sogno, sometime soon.

Priolo says the spot will specialize in piadini, an Italian flatbread street food that can be served sweet or savory with a variety of ingredients. Piccoletto will also serve espresso, coffee, and other pastries.

People who have been to the former Crumbs know that the space is cozy and in a high traffic area. There’s no exact timeframe yet for opening—stay tuned.

Piccolo Sogno named in top 11 italian restaurants in Chicago

The Chicago Traveler named Piccolo Sogno among the top 11 italian restaurants in Chicago. Here is there review:

Piccolo Sogno remains true to its Italian inspiration by specializing in classic Italian seasonal cuisine – complimented by an all-Italian wine list to accent your meal perfectly. The interior provides a warm, welcoming atmosphere that is perfect for romantic dinners or small groups. The outdoor seating area is a superb way to get the most out of your dining experience – after all, fresh air is always necessary when indulging in excellent food [sometimes you forget to breath between bites].
